Staging to Sell

Staging is used when a home is being prepared to sell. It is the process of taking your home and making it into a product. A product that will sell faster and for more money. A staged home looks organized, stylish, and pulled together. Staging creates an atmosphere of neutrality and universal appeal. Our designers know where to position furniture to maximize a home’s architectural attributes as well as how to prepare your home to showcase its best features. A well staged home will create a feeling in a room that makes a buyer want to come in. It will create an emotion for the buyer. Data proves that when a buyer feels emotionally connected to an item, they will buy it.

Redesign

A redesign project could be as complex as completely updating and replacing a kitchen or bath to as simple as just fixing an “issue” area in a home. When you think forward and anticipate the potential issues or areas that a buyer may have, you take control of the sales process. You take control because during the negotiation process the buyer will have less objections to your home or areas that they will say need to be fixed. When the buyer has less to object to you will have a higher offer and a faster sale.

Stage to Live

Often we stage a home and when we finish the homeowner will call and say their friend or family member wants to know if we’ll stage their home…even though they aren’t planning to move. Stage to live is a face lift for the home and one of our favorite projects because it allows more freedom with color and individuality.

"Staging" Testimonial

Although I work in the design industry, I needed Stage to Move's expertise to transform my living space from ordinary to one that gets those "WOW" exclamations each time. Kara Woods was able to envision key changes to my furniture layout to highlight the traditional details in my historic brownstone home.

With a limited budget she added just a few items and moved furniture from other rooms to pull the living rooms together. She organized the rooms and eliminated the clutter.

Over the past 18 months I have referred her to colleagues in need of design assistance and to contractors who desperately need to stage speculatively built residential projects for that extra edge. Her design expertise is worth every penny and in this competitive housing market you really can't afford not to look for the help of a professional.
